Course Overview

In this course, students will learn how to customize and send mass communications using the Mail Merge feature in Microsoft Word. This allows users to very efficiently create and edit form letters, personalized envelopes, or mailing labels.

Who Should Attend

This course will be easiest to follow for students who are familiar with the Microsoft Word interface. It is helpful for students to know the basics of text editing and how datasets are structured, but it is not necessary to be fluent in Word, Excel, or Outlook in order to perform mail merges.

Course Objectives

The goal of this course is to make mass communications much faster and easier for users. You will learn how to write custom form letters, create personalized envelopes, and generate mailing labels from a dataset or contact list, saving time on addressing each post item individually.

  • Advanced Mail Merge - Learn how to create rules that generate different text for different form letters.
